It is hot here

I swear I’m a blockhead.  Lesson learned today….make sure your training toy is set before you go to bed instead of trying to set it when you first crawl out of bed.

Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

I managed to mess up my watch, so my times were all off.  Instead of doing the above training program, I had my watch set for 30 seconds and 60 seconds.  I’m a dope.  As soon as I finished the 1st run I knew something wasn’t right!  It was too easy!  LOL

I also messed up when I mapped my run.  I went back and looked at the loop and I overlapped part of the course, so what I’ve really been walk/running is .9 miles.  I have corrected that issue as well and the REAL loop is 1.1 miles.

I honestly can’t believe how disappointed I was that I had messed up my watch this morning!  Oh well, Wednesday will be here before I know it.

It.is.hot.here.  Kahuna and I went out shopping again today.  He decided he needed the shorts he bought day before in every color they had so we headed back out.  They only had 1 other color though.  I did manage to score another pair of spiffy reading glasses…need them for all the proofreading I do at work.  We also headed over to Performance Sports, but didn’t buy anything.  Had to leave before Kahuna talked himself into a new seat.  The other places we went were Lowes, Home Depot, and Costco, which was closed.

Back home doing laundry and did I say IT.IS.HOT.HERE!

  1. Thanks for inspiration. I think I have about 100 pounds to I evict…the part that is not conducive to my well being.

It is nice to see that there are others in my same frame of mind. Although I will not be able to run or even walk much at first because of foot and knee problems, probably due to my weight.

How is your dad? Just curious, I just spent Labor Day with my Dad, so Dad is on my mind. I hope he is okay after his accident. Did he ever go to the doctor?

  2. No kidding about the heat! It was 104 here in RB yesterday. We spent the whole weekend at Tom’s parent’s house since they have air conditioning and a pool…it’s so much easier to stitch without feeling guilty when it’s too hot to do chores at home!

Way to go with the fitness plan; I know you can stick with it!

  3. Yeah, it’s hot up here, too. I’m hoping the promised break from the heat comes to fruition tomorrow. Right now, just about every time I walk outside, I can almost feel the life being sucked from me. LOL
