Timing is, sometimes, everything!

A little bit ago I was complaining about spending $4.15 for gas. Today, I paid $4.51. I can’t help but think how fortunate I am to have found a job so close to home. I was filling my car every 4 days, but now I can go almost 2 weeks. The downside to that, I guess, is that right now gas prices are jumping between fills for me, instead of seeming to creep up like they felt they were doing when I was filling more often.

We’re in trial mode right now.  I spend most of my day tweaking over and over briefs and talking to witnesses.  I’m crazy busy and am having a blast.  I keep catching myself thinking how I can’t believe I’m finally back to doing this again, and finally getting my money’s worth from all the headaches of college homework.  I love trial work and always wanted to be more involved and now I’m finally doing it.  And there’s that tiny voice in the back of my head asking me if I’m ready to go further in the education and get a J.D.  I tamp it down, but it’s always there waiting on me to be tired enough to escape the barrier.

  1. Hi Terri,
Glad you’re doing well. I think you should go for that J.D. There’s never a good time, so just go for it.

  2. I think you’d be an amazing attorney! I think you should go for it, too!

After seeing you paid $4.51 for gas, I have a new appreciation for only having to pay $4.27. Ok, so how much does it suck to use the word “only” with regards to paying $4.27/gallon for gasoline. That’s just sooooooo wrong. (sigh)

  3. Glad to hear you’re enjoying your job so much and you’re so lucky to work that close to home!

We just paid $65 to fill up the little gas tank in our car. I’m scared to go buy gas for our van tomorrow… the prices just keep rising 🙁

  4. Your job sounds great!

I’m so glad that I don’t have to worry about filling a car with gas – the bus trip costs the same every day ($1.75 each way) – no complaints there!

  5. You sound like you’re really enjoying your job! If you want to keep going forward, I think you should go for it! Why silence the desire? You may regret not listening to it someday…

Gas prices are just insane. I’m grateful I get to work at home, and don’t have to spend a dime commuting.

  6. Does J.D. mean you will become a lawyer? Go for it!
