I need a roadtrip!

In getting back into the stitching *life* I would like to attend a stitching retreat at the end of this year.  With the demise of CATS I don’t even know what’s out there anymore.

I would like to attend a retreat – long weekend style maybe? – that will allow me to visit and stitch  – maybe purchase an item or two – but not necessarily *make* something to bring home.  Does that even exist out there?

Kahuna and I are still talking about our roadtrip next month.  Most likely it will be the weekend of May 22 since that will give him time to compete in a couple more races, and time off before the next couple and I won’t have to worry about being around for trial prep for my attorney.  We’re headed to Arizona 😀

I have 3 framed items to share and will take pictures of them this week.

  1. Woohoo! Come on over to lovely AZ 🙂

    • Yes, ma’am! We’re planning on coming over on a Friday and returning on Monday. I’ll let you know where we’ll be staying 😀

  2. Margaret mentioned on Saturday that they are planning a retreat to Temecula in either September or October. 🙂 Of course, if you decide to road-trip it over to AZ to visit Annette, I’ll be happy to keep you company on the drive. 😀

    • Woohoo! I could be all over that Temecula thing. As to a roadtrip to visit Annette, we’ll have to keep our eyes open to see what The Attic has coming up and do one then! This trip is all about house hunting 😉

  3. Pssst…I nominated you for an award. It’s my latest blog post. 🙂

  4. Celebration of Needlework, held in Nashua NH the last weekend of April is the perfect retreat for you! I know it’s a little far, but it’s the kind of retreat where you can just hang out with other stitchers, take classes (or not), and have plenty of opportunities to shop in their mall.

I went last year with 2 friends, and we had a blast; I went the previous year in Louisville (they no longer have one in Louisville) with a friend, and we had a great time. On both occasions, I met stitchers from the blogs & boards I read, and it was great to put faces to names.

I know Nashua is a long way from you, but it’s definitely worth the trip at least once:
